Assembly Technician
Job Summary
Receive manufactured parts from the welding department and assemble components in accordance with engineering drawings by performing the following duties.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Check prints on jobs and make sure we have all components before job is started in assembly.
Check prints for cabinet finish (i.e. powder coated, mill grain, wet coat, etc.) and send to applicable department for finish work.
Check enclosures for missing welds, missing components, burn through, scratches, etc., and notify Assembly Supervisor of problems.
Keep track of stock parts and let the Assembly Supervisor know if we need stock parts before we run out.
Work at an efficient pace to ensure enclosures are built correctly and scheduled due dates are met.
Be able to effectively and safely operate factory tools (i.e. drill, manufacture/modify parts missing in assembly, problem solve).
Keep assembly area clean and organized. Floor space is critical.
Minimum Requirements
Read and understand prints.
Pass the test and operate the forklifts.
Knowledge of hardware and hand tools (i.e. nuts, bolts, sockets, etc.).
Abilities Required
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate drill, saws, rivet fun, caulk gun and hand tools.
